AN ALTER-WORLD:

Animals, Humans, and Poetics

Home: Welcome

It was spring 2015. A group of goslings, along with mother and father geese, were grazing grass at Gas Works Park in Seattle, Washington. Between me and the geese was an extensive chain link fence. Carefully, I lined up the tiny smartphone camera lens with a hollow diamond on the fence and pressed "record." At the moment, I only saw the goslings and their mother and father geese grazing in the slanting sunlight. Not the camera screen. Not the human peeking through the fence. This website is dedicated to recording a plurality of these moments when humans step back and animals are seen.
